As you support our hockey song “Lay It On The Line,” for CBC’s #SongQuest Competition, consider some TRUE SAL PIAMONTE HOCKEY FACTS!!!…STARTING WITH #1:

HEY EVERYONE!!!…Seeing as this IS somewhat of a hockey competition regarding CBC Music’s #SongQuest competition in search of the next great hockey song in Canada, I figured I’d start pulling out some old hockey stats…and facts about myself!!!!….I’ll share some newer ones every few days…starting with this one here (note: stats are in NO particular order):

SAL PIAMONTE TRUE HOCKEY FACT #1:¬†When I was playing PeeWee ‘AA’ hockey for the Nepean Raiders, I had the honour of playing one of the most coveted PeeWee tournaments around-in Quebec City, and even got to play on the Quebec Nordiques’ Colisee ice….my shining moment that tournament came when I scored on a slapper from the left hand side of the ice, practically on the goal line, hitting just inside the far post!!! Not only is this crowning moment on video, but the next day I had a chance to attend a Quebec Nordique’s practice, where I was lucky enough to meet the players, and even convinced Hall of Famer Michel Goulet, and forward Mike Eagles, to both give me their sticks!!!!….which I still have to this day!!!…unfortunately, we lost out in overtime in the semi-finals….some guy by the name of Mike Peca scored the winning goal!!!

I’ve got plenty of facts to come folks!!!…but in the meantime, I hope that you keep supporting and voting for my song, “Lay It On The Line,” every day from now until December 11!!! WE CAN’T DO THIS WITHOUT YOUR SUPPORT!!!!
